I believe you know it has been too long since you have last blogged when you sign on and the entire interface has changed and you have no idea where anything is. I apologize that I have been such a terrible slacker in the blog department lately, insert comment about life being super busy here.
So anyways, life has been a little crazy, super busy, but basically wonderful. Even though the past few months have had their ups and downs I still have no doubts that this is where God wants me and Andy and that is the best feeling in the world.
So anyways, life has been a little crazy, super busy, but basically wonderful. Even though the past few months have had their ups and downs I still have no doubts that this is where God wants me and Andy and that is the best feeling in the world.
I was super stressed out the other day, it was one of those nights where I was trying my best to sleep but the harder I tried the more my brain decided it want to think about every single worry in the world. So I decided to take some time to read my bible and here is what I came across:
"Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say rejoice! Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your heart and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally brethren whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. The things you have learned and the God of peace will be with you. But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at last you have revived your concern for me; indeed, you were concerned before, but you lacked opportunity. Not that I speak from want, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me."
-Philippians 4:4-13
I love when you pick up your bible and God just speaks directly to you. This was exactly what I needed to read that night. Rejoice in the Lord, dwell on things of Him, His peace will be with you, and you can accomplish all things through Him. I know I have read Philippians 4:13 a billion times since becoming a Christian and it is focused on in just about every Sunday school class ever. But I had never really looked at the verses around it too much and God knew that was exactly what I needed to hear the other night. It just astounds me sometimes how much I forget that if I just let God do His thing in my life things will turn out much better than if I just leave Him by the side and try and figure things out by myself. That is one thing that is made very clear by these verses. Things have to be done with Him and through Him or they are probably not going to work out so well. I know I have blogged about this a few other times, but it is somethings I am hit with pretty frequently. I do not know better than God does, as much as I may think I can do things all by myself, I can't, no one can. That is why God sent His Son because he understood we couldn't do it on our own. It calms my heart so much that we don't have to face anything on our own. We always have God to help us through it.

Marriage
I have been married almost 4 months now! How crazy is that! I still get a little thrown off. Every once in a while I just sit back and look at Andy and think "Wow, this guy is my husband". I absolutely adore being married. The thought that I get to spend the rest of my life with Andy just still brings a giant smile to my face. I know that I could have married any Christian boy and it probably would have been alright, but Andy is my absolute perfect match. I am by no means saying that these last 4 months have been a piece of cake. A lot of people do not realize this, sometimes especially people who have been dating a long time, but marriage is work. And I know that some of you are sitting there and you are thinking to yourself "Well, duh Heather". But it is something we always think in the back of our minds, but don't realize how hard it actually is. You have to remind yourself daily to love the person who you are married to for every shining quality they have, not if they helped do the dishes that night or if they put away dinner. You have to learn more than anything to lose your pride and just let things go. I think that has been the one thing that God has been working with me on. I cannot have expectations of Andy. I don't mean you shouldn't motivate your spouse or let them become complete slobs and do nothing. What I mean is you have to love your spouse for being the person who they are, not the things they accomplish. God repeats over and over in His word that we do not gain His love through works, but through faith. And if Gods love for us is the example for marriage, then shouldn't we have that same kind of love for our spouse. Just love them because they love us. Once you realize how much you love that other person you naturally want to do things for them. Just like your love for God creates desires in your heart to do things that please Him. At the end of a hard day, it doesn't really matter if the apartment is a little messy, what matters is that God has given me a wonderful person to come home to.

Old
I feel old.
I mean i know that I am not, I'm only 19, but for some reason, today, I feel it. It all started out with a conversation with Hannah(Andy's younger sister). She went to her first high school dance over the weekend and she got all dressed up and looked super pretty and She has a boyfriend now. Which is super exciting I am really happy for her and I am about 97% sure they are going to get married some day anyways. We were taking about how excited she is and all that stuff and it just made me feel really old. I mean I know I haven't been there all her life but she is just like a little sister to me and she has grown up so much the past 4 years it makes me feel super old! And not to mention now I have my own place, all I do is clean, cook, and work. I feel like an old lady haha.
I have sorta felt this way my whole life. Every time I meet someone new they think I am at least in my early to mid twenties, which is odd considering I am shorter than most every person I know.
But other than feeling a little "beyond my years", life is over all good. I have a great husband, a adorable little apartment, a good job, andy has a job, and I have the best God ever!

Thankfulness
I again am having one of those crazy I can't sleep nights. i have no idea why this keeps happening. I am way to sick and nauseous feeling to ever be able to sleep. So once again here I am ranting to whoever in the world happens to be as wide awake as I am. Today in church my pastor gave an amazing sermon on thankfulness and I can not help to think that I am never thankful enough for what God has blessed me with Maybe this is just something I do, but I have a feeling it is just human nature to complain about everything and be thankful for nothing. Seriously I am amazingly blessed by God everyday, just being able to wake up and take a hot shower and eat breakfast is something I should praise God for. I don't think about how many people there are in the world who don't have those luxuries, let alone a comfy bed to sleep in the night before. This is not a "I want to make myself and who ever happens to be reading this feel like terrible people" and I don't think that is God's plan for laying this on my heart either. I just feel as though it is something worth thinking about. Have you ever met one of those people that seriously is so thankful it makes you a little annoyed, they are seriously thankful to be thankful for things. I want that kind of thankfulness, yes I am openly admitting I want to be one of those crazy, annoying people. I want the world to know that God doesn't just bless me the day he gives me enough to get married, or move to Colorado, or big adventurous things. He also blesses me every single day whether I want to notice it or not.
I am not one hundred percent sure why all these crazy big topics are rolling around in my brain when all I really want to do is sleep, but at least I have a computer to type and share them and a nice warm place to lay while my mind mindlessly wanders.

I won't be offended if you stop reading this halfway through.
Politically unmotivated people bother me. Now, before I go into this, I do not think that everyone should run around arguing about their political views, that is just obnoxious. However, it is more obnoxious when people have none at all. Seriously, how could you just not care. I was browsing around on Facebook today and was looking at a old friends page and under her political views she wrote "I don't follow any of that". How can you not follow politics! Everyone has a political view, whether they would like to think so or not, not having a political view, is a political view in and of its self. I seriously do not understand how someone could just not have an interest in the world around them. I am not saying you have to belong to a certain political party. I just think people should think critically and care about what is shaping the country we live in. No matter if we like it or not politics seriously effects our everyday lives, who the president is, what party is in control of congress, and what laws are and are not passed will not only change our lives but our children's lives as well. How can you possibly just not follow that?!?
A girl at work the other day told me she doesn't vote because she believes God has a plan and voting is not going to change what that plan is. I do know and believe that God can accomplish things with out us, He is God, He can do anything and everything He wants to on His own. And in the end it voting or not voting is not going to keep you from Heaven, it is your belief in Jesus and what He did for us on the cross. However, I personally believe that it brings way more glory to God when He can accomplish things through His willing people. I know this whole blog is covering a few heavy topics and normally I am more of a la-dee-da kind of writer but this seriously bugs the crap out of me. Why do people always assume that they don't have to do anything and God is just going to work it out. Yes I know He is God and He can work it out all by Himself, but seriously how boring is that persons life. "Oh I don't do anything I just wait around for God to it." That person could have a much more full and exciting life if they just acted on the direction God lays before them. Let's look at the Old Testament Israelites for one moment. Sure God very well could have made the Pharaoh let them go all on His own, but He used Moses. And yes he probably could have just mysteriously transported them into the promise land, but He made them do the venturing and wandering. But they would have missed all the spiritual growing along the way. God would have taught them absolutely nothing if He just did it all for them, could He have, YES, but putting them through all that eventually led them to a stronger closer relationship with the Lord. Personally it is not my place to judge anyone for voting or not voting, and I suppose this blog probably sounded a bit angry and judgmental, I know full-heartedly that God is the ultimate judge of everyone. But seriously, those politically unmotivated people drive me up a wall.
I feel as though this is enough crazy rambling for one night.

So I very seriously want to post on my facebook about how icky my stomach is feeling(I feel the need to have the world feel bad for me in my sickness) however, I know tons of people would then suspect I am pregnant(which I would like to say, I am not). So I cannot, therefore I felt the need to blog about it because then at least a select few people can feel bad I am sick without telling me I am having a baby, because I am not lol.
That has become a very popular joke in the Randes household ever since Andrew and I got married. Every time I want something or don't feel good the automatic response is "oh it's because your pregnant". It is pretty comical. And seriously you would not believe how much more you notice baby's after you are married, the thought always goes "Aww, adorable little baby, OH, I could make one of those now if I wanted to" haha I laugh at myself seriously every time. I think when Andy and I do have kids(which will be awhile, unless God has plans I don't realize) we are going to have fabulous children. Seriously, not to pat myself on the back, but how could our kids not be awesome haha.
Also a girl that I grew up with just had a baby, and her little girl is absolutely adorable.

Abigail.
To be One Hundred percent honest, I have not read Abbie's blog in awhile, pretty much when I don't blog, it's because I haven't been reading hers. I always have this crazy, unnecessary, urge to blog after reading Abbie's. For example, it is currently 10:33pm and I have to work tomorrow, yet, I feel the need to blog because I just read her blog for the last hour. I don't think I tell her enough how talented I think she is. I seriously think about that every time I read her blog. She takes breath taking photos, is the best painter I know, she writes more eloquently than most college students(much better than I), and on top of that she just down right loves the Lord. I think if there is one friend of mine that is an inspiration for my walk with Jesus, it's her. I know she doesn't always feel like it, but that girl shines with love for Jesus, even when she is crazy down in the dumps. Reading her blog reminds me of why we are friends, and why out of the 300 people in our GNED class, God somehow put us together.
Seriously Abbie your awesome and I miss you like crazy.

Wedding+life+Colorado+travel=Beautiful
Yea, I have been a failure at blogging. See I normally blog right before I go to sleep, and since I just got married a month ago "other activities" have been taking up that time.
So much has happened in my life the past month, I am married, I have traveled 3/4 of the way across the country, and I now live the farthest I have ever lived from home. Life is beautiful right now, seriously, I have just been shown the past month what God has been doing in my life for the past year, everything that has happened is making sense, I totally feel like I am living what God has been preparing me for, and that is an amazing feeling.
The Wedding.
It was seriously the most perfect day of my life, people say that, but I seriously mean it. I could totally feel God's presence, and see His hand working in that whole day, everything went exactly according to plan, even though it stressed me out at times that Amy planned most of the wedding, God knew it was exactly what I needed. I wouldn't have been able to enjoy the day if I was focused on all the little details. Note for future brides...don't worry about anything, and the day will go as smoothly as planned :D
The Road Trip.
Best Honeymoon idea ever, I loved it. I love to travel and see new places and it was the perfect way for me and Andy to spend our honeymoon. We got to experience so much and see so many things that we will most likely never see again, and wouldn't have it we didn't feel like we were supposed to move to Colorado. I love that even when we don't know, God knows exactly what our hearts need, and that is what mine needed.

Friends
I have the most wonderful friends in the whole world, who gave me the most awesome bachelorette party. They all told me there were not coming up until tonight, however, they came last night. I had to go on a scavenger hunt through Saratoga to find them all. Then we went and ate at The Circus Cafe in downtown Saratoga(which was amazing). They had lots of awesome games picked out ,including a "That's what she said" one. Every one started out with 10 pins and every time you set someone up for a "Thats what she said" joke, you got to take there pin...Alexcia won! We just had such a crazy fun time and I will definitely remember that night for the rest of my life. God is so awesome to put such wonderful people in my life. They are all such amazing girls and I am so excited for them to be apart of my day tomorrow and I know, although we may not see each other for awhile after this, that we will all be friends for a lifetime.
Seriously, I could not have even wished for a better bachelorette party! Thank you all so much!
Also I am getting married tomorrow!! I can not believe it is only a day away! I am so excited!

Moving...no it's not a depressing one.
I feel like I have been blogging lately about all the sad things about me moving...and I think it is time for me to stop being negative, move on, and explain that I am actually very, very excited to move!
I can't wait for Andy and I to be able to start our whole new life together. It is a very freeing feeling to be able to let everything go here and just trust God in this whole adventure. I know that this whole thing is going to strengthen my relationship with the Lord so much and that makes me so more excited then absolutely anything!
I am really stoked to see the country...at least parts of it. I really haven't been many places outside of New York other than Vermont(which doesn't count because I live on the border), Massachusetts, Virginia, and Florida(and the states in between which really doesn't count because we only drove through them). I absolutely love road trips! I get this beautiful nostalgic feeling about being American when I drive around it!
Oh yeah and I am excited about my awesome husband to be! He is going to be such a great husband! I love him so much, he is going to be such a great spiritual leader in our home and he just loves me for me, all my crazyness included, I seriously can not wait to share the rest of my life with him! Woot Woot!
Oh boy! I suddenly have a new found motivation to pack!

Josh and Justin
Okay so I know I promised a long time ago that I was not going to go on and on about how much I am going to miss Depot any more!
I lied...
I went to dinner with Josh and Justin tonight, sorta as a last hurrah before I leave and it hit me that after I leave it is probably un-likely I will ever see them again...and if I do it won't be for at least a year! And yes I am so excited to go! I cannot stress that fact enough but these two guys have been a big part of my life the last year and a half. I seriously do not know what I am going to do at work not seeing them every single day! Seriously they are pretty much the reason I like where I work as much as I do! I am going to miss them so much! That is really all I can say about it, I honestly can not put it into any other words than that. They mean a lot to me and it's really going to be so weird for me to go to work and them just not be there.
Who will I play key races with, listen to really awesome songs, who's girlfriend is going to hate me, who is going to tell me everything I am not supposed to know, who am I going to be able to pick on for eating with toothpicks and always ordering cheese fries, have very pointless committee meetings with, yell at whoever the "Nancy" is in my new store, make up new nicknames for me, and who is just simply going to make me look forward to go to work every single day?
Rules for when I leave(did you really expect anything less?)
Please don't forget about me guys and if you don't keep in touch...I'll beat you up( yes you can insert funny short joke here, or man joke?).
My locker is not to be taken over by some weird person and shall remain in our column of lockers!
Also at least one of you is to call me at least once a week to update me on all the store doings and drama...preferably that about Nancy(or Kerry).
And you need to start planning a road trip to come visit me now....tell Charlene she just has to approve it!
You're not allowed to quit The First Committee!(No exceptions Joshua!)
Please tell Paul to "shove-it" at least once(preferably as he is leaving to go to Pittsfield, not realizing how much more Pittsfield sucks, I suppose he will fit in perfectly)
Justin Andrew-You are not allowed to take my flower sun or my "Heatha" off the cashier board...seriously Josh will tell me if you do!
Joshua Wayne(haha)- You need to tell me if Justin ever removes my flower sun off the board!!
I Seriously will miss you guys more than I think you know!

Friends
My friend Tim, who I used to work with but moved to New York City, called me last night just to catch up on each others life and we talked about moving and how crazy life has been and normal things you would talk to a friend about that has moved far away. Then as we were chatting away he said "you know, you are like my closest friend that I know absolutely nothing about" I thought that is so true! See we really only knew each other about 6 weeks before he got his job in the city, but we keep in contact better than I do with some of the people that I used to see every single day, and he said the same thing. So we sat there and just talked about why it is that certain people stay close throughout our lives and how others just sort of dissipate and how that could happen. There are people that I called my best friends that I barely talk to anymore, not just from college, but from high school, middle school, and so on. It really made me think about how much people change over time, and there are some people who stick around through those changes and others do not. Maybe it's not even because they don't want to, maybe sub-consciously we give some people the opportunity to be there for us and we don't give that same opportunity to others. I really wonder why that is. It makes me wonder what will happen with all the friends I have here. How sad it is that there is maybe going to be one or two that I really keep in close contact to and the others will just sort of fade out.
I guess I really won't know until I leave.
Reality is weird.

Small Town America
I am absolutely exhausted yet wide awake at the same time. I really hate when this happens. Which is why I don't drink caffeine, however, I really, really needed a Coke on my drive home from Canton today or I was simply going to fall asleep.
I love road trips. I love exploring places I have never been, seeing all the interesting sites and just experiencing the culture of the country we live in. Today's was especially nostalgic. As I was driving to Canton I was listening to a podcast about Route 66 and how it helped bring America together and how it is very sad that there is a giant expressway right next to it and most people choose the expressway over venturing through little towns. As I was driving and feeling depressed that America has lost it's pride and everyone is just focused on getting where they have to go, not the journey it takes to get there. As this thought was passing through my head, I saw an overpass cluttered with old, beat-up American flags, and then I passed another, and almost every overpass I drove under was covered with tattered American flags. I have not been able to get that image out of my head all day. It made me think about how much American culture there is in the state of Massachusetts. Almost every person who lives there, has pride in where he/she lives. They root for a baseball team that never wins, they can't pronounce the letter R and they are proud of it! It made sense to me that the Rebels who through the Tea into the Boston Harbor(or Harbah), were from Boston. If there was going to be any people in America who were going to say "stick it" to whomever, it would be Boston(mostly because this was before Texas was around)./The whole road trip made me feel very American. From listening to stories about Route 66, to seeing tattered American flags still flying high, driving through the small towns wondering what sort of culture I could discover. To going to a meeting full of people who are employed by a company that celebrates Capitalism. I then realized it made a lot of sense to have the Regional Store Support Center of the New England Region in Massachusetts, because if any thing could get you pumped up about selling things in a flat economy, it is a short man with a Boston Accent telling inspiring stories about how customer service leads to sale, in a quaint, All-American town.
This whole adventure today made me very excited to take the Road Trip out to Colorado because, there have to be thousands of places like Canton, Massachusetts. Where American culture just flows out of, a place where you can not just pass through because you feel the need to stop at that small diner and have a piece of Apple Pie. Somewhere, where people are not afraid to say God because churches still influence their community. A place that reminds people what America is about, reminds them there are still thousand of Soldiers fighting overseas everyday to keep us safe. Somewhere that still believes in the hope and innovation that formed our Country. In New York, we just simply do not have a lot of that left and it is comforting to know that America has not lost it's spirit. That even though times are tough for just about everyone in the country. There will always be small town rapport that can bring us back together again.
I hope everyone, at least once, gets to visit a town like that.

I really don't know what to blog about tonight, I have so much on my mind that it is all kind of stuck up there and cannot come out.
I am SO very excited to get married! I cannot believe it is in like 2 weeks! Craziness. Also I think I am most excited to be done planning the wedding. I remember when Andy and I first got engaged everyone was like, "You are going to be so relieved when the wedding comes because the planning is so stressful" and I was like that is not going to happen, How could planning something so wonderful be stressful? I was, once again, wrong. I have not been stressed out at all until about 3 days ago. All of a sudden it hit me that I have so much to do and so little time to do it. Why do we do this to ourselves? Wait until very last minute even though I have known about most of these things for awhile? Why why why? I don't want to be one of those people that do everything super super in advanced because that doesn't work out either.
I feel like I can't write right now. Why is it that the moment that I need to drain my thoughts the most they get all stuck up there? I wish someone invented a giant vacuum(It took my 30 times to spell that right) that could just suck out all of our thoughts when they get stuck up there.
I love Jack Johnson
I am a little scared to move to Colorado. But I know God has a plan and that is an awesome comfort. God is so flippen cool!
Random Tangent- I am listening to Pandora and I was listening to my Relient K station and Dark Blue by Jacks Mannequin came on and it 1. Made me confused because I do not really see too much of a connection between the 2 bands. 2. Made me think about Justin because he thinks that it is a really good song...because it is.
I am glad you all let me waste 15 minutes of your life

No Condemnation in Christ
"Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus"
Romans 8:1
I have read this verse 1000 million times but I don't think I ever really comprehended it. It seems as though it is a simple concept. Those who have Christ in their heart have no condemnation for their sins. But for some reason every time I screw up I forget that fact. All I think about is how I cannot possibly forgive myself and if I can't forgive myself how could God? Then I heard these 2 sermons today on John chapter 8 verses 1 through 11. One by Dave at church and the other by Clayton King.
" But Jesus went to the mount of Olives. Early in the morning He came again into the temple, and all the people were coming to Him; and He sat down and began to teach them. The scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman caught in adultery, and having set her in the center of the court, they said to Him, "Teacher, this woman has been caught in adultery, in the very act. "Now in the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women; what then do You say?" They were saying this, testing Him, so that they might have grounds for accusing Him. But Jesus stooped down and with His finger wrote on the ground. But when they persisted in asking Him, He straightened up, and said to them, "He who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at her." Again He stooped down and wrote on the ground. When they heard it, they began to go out one by one, beginning with the older ones, and He was left alone, and the woman, where she was, in the center of the court. Straightening up, Jesus said to her, "Woman, where are they? Did no one condemn you?" She said, "No one, Lord." And Jesus said, "I do not condemn you, either Go From now on sin no more."

This is absolutely awesome. Here is this woman. Absolutely humiliated in front of most likely hundreds of people in this temple thinking that she is just about to die and bam there comes Jesus. We could seriously replace any person that had ever sinned(which would be everyone) and we would all deserve the same punishment she did. But here comes Jesus and covered our sins. We don't have to hold on to them because Jesus covered them. And it is not like I did not know all of these things. But it was getting over them myself that was the problem. But tonight I realized that if the God that I know and believe in, the same one that created the universe, if He can forgive my sins and send his Son Jesus to die for them. I can get over it to. I love the weight lifted off my shoulders when I give something up to God.

Good thing to remember
God is good. And in control
"But seek First His kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you. So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of it's own."
Matthew 6:33-34

Nascar
My family is really into Nascar. So today, being the Daytona 500, the superbowl of Nascar, we had a small family gathering with lots of food and fun. Here are some pictures of the day. Now please keep in mind my Nikon is at Andy's so some of these are rather grainy and a little dark.
Oldies
I found all these pictures on my computer while I was uploading some new ones from today(which will be up here soon) and I thought I would share.

I love that Andy is blogging again. He is a fantastic writer. Seriously his blog makes mine look like a Kindergarten kid wrote it. Mostly because he is more creative, and has much better English skills.
It is fabulous. Check it out.

Answers
Questions:
1.How many times a year does someone win the lottery?
2.Don’t you think that Bieber got robbed at the Grammy’s? I sure do.
3.What is the longest you have been without a shower?
4.I have man hands. This is not a question, I’m just sayin.
5.Why am I so grumpy when I am sick?
6.Will you tell Andy to write a blog too? I love reading yours.
So I decided to take a spin on your questions and take the very best answer that Google gave me. So here are the answers according to Google.
1.(This one was fairly difficult to find, apparently Google cares more about how to win the lottery than if you can actually win more than once) "There are documented stories of people actually winning the lotto more than once. For example, a man named Erik Martineau won $20,000 on an instant scratchoff ticket from Connecticut Lottery; less than one month later, he won on another scratchoff ticket, this time $1 million. In another example, a Canadian man won $340,000 from Lotto 649 in April of 2007; in November of the same year, he won a $15 million Lotto 649 jackpot. Nobody knows for sure, but it is highly likely that these two lottery winners spent more on tickets after their first big win. Can you win the lottery more than once, then? As I explained, winning the lottery the first time is highly unlikely. But if you do get lucky and win, you might just win again soon after that."
2.(This one was not so hard to find, apparently Google cares more about Bieber) "I can't believe it, Esparanza won for "Best New Artist" over Justin Bieber and Drake who were the only real competitors. Who is this girl? Nobody I know, knows this girl, and has anyone heard her music? I was so sure, that at least Justin Bieber would win the Grammy, because he is like todays Donny Osmond that was back in the day. When Esparaza won for "Best New Artist of the Year", my son's phone was ringing off the hook. All his friends were wondering who is Esparanza. All these unknown were winning Grammys Awards tonight and I was just sick of the whole show. Sorry guys, maybe next year"
3.(This is just nasty) "3 years... though I did use deoderant."
4. Since this is not really a question I just Googled "Man Hands", This is the definition according to Urban Dictionary "(n) Phrase to describe a woman's hands when they are 'less than feminine'. From the TV Show Seinfeld."
(Unless your hands look like this, you do not have "man hands")
5. So I couldn't find this one, but I thought I would share the fact the when I typed the word why into google, the first auto correct question was why is the sky blue. The third was why is the ocean salty? Hopefully that makes you un-grumpy :)
6. Google cannot answer this I will talk with him, he has one, but he doesn't use it all that often. I will convince him to share and to do it more frequently.
Love you! Feel better and research fancy popcorn for Lauren.
Say What?!
I broke my cellphone yesterday, so all day I have, obviously, not been able to use it . Normally, first thing in the morning, is check my cellphone, text Andy good morning, follow up on any texts or calls I got while I was asleep. Then work, the during my break, out comes the cellphone and, normally, my iPod does too. This same routine continues for lunch, and my later break. After work is done, it's normally time for more cellphone, facebook, and email. It's almost pathetic..however, the more pathetic fact is there is always someone I am talking to during those times, which means, more than just I do this too. And most of these conversations are absolutely pointless. Why do we feel the need to fill all our free time with some sort of conversation, even if it is completely pointless, and we have had the same conversation six times that day?
It's almost scary to think about how much our world thrives on communication. I am not at all saying that technology is a bad thing, because I actually think the complete opposite. I do think, however, that we may need to lay off how accessible we are. Most cellphone receive not only calls and text messages, but also emails, tweets, Facebook posts and status updates. It's crazy!
The typical excuse we give the older generation of why we need to have every form of communication accessible to us at all times is "what if something happened to me?" "What if there was a family emergency?'' and so on and so forth. And although, I agree, that technology does make it easier for people to get a hold of you in an emergency. However, our generation has taken it to a complete new level. We almost feel a need to be in constant communication with those around us. I read a paper once that talked about how over time kids are going to lose their social skills because there will no longer be a need for them. The author argued his points by explaining that the majority of kids only communicate with their friends verbally when they see them in person the rest of the time the communicate through text, Facebook, or email.
This fact made me realize that John and Hank Greens Brotherhood 2.0 was really almost revolutionary. Pretty much the experiment was to see if John and Hank could go 1 year with text less communication. No email, no letters, no Facebook, and no text messages. Although the used technology(YouTube) to accomplish this feat, and they still could talk to each other on the phone. They proved something that not many teenagers would believe, you can maintain a strong and meaningful relationship with someone, without the use of text messaging.
All of this thinking has brought me to really sit down and think about how much I actually communicate with other people, and how much of that time I could be doing something actually productive. I want to see how much of the communication overload I can cut out of my life. And what will I accomplish with all my new free time?!?!
I think my challenge to all of you out there in reader land, is to try and do the same thing. Next time your reach for the cellphone, or fly into the other room to answer the one word text message you must absolutely reply to, think about if it is really necessary, or if it can wait until you are finished with your current project.
As for me, I am starting with Facebook. So it is goodbye to Facebook world, at least until I find something else to occupy the time I used to fill with Facebook.

This Little Light of Mine
I am watching Glee, yes I know, but anyways there was this scene where they were singing This Little Light of Mine with a group of kids. And I was brought back to being 6 years old, and if I ever had a bad day, that song would come on and everything would be better. I would walk around the house singing, laughing, and dancing, with my little light shinning brighter than it did before, no matter which kid stole my toy at the babysitters house.
And I know that now that we are older problems are much bigger and more complex, but I wonder if when the Bible talks about having a childlike faith. That no matter what happens throughout my day, week, or life. I could just get over it. Remember, that God is still God, and let my light shine brighter than before my whole world felt like it was crashing down.

Valentines Day
I started this blog thinking I was going to complain about how much I miss my Valentine and how this stinks that it is my first Valentines Day, sorta alone. In fact I did write this and then deleted it all as soon as I realized how lame and pathetic that sounded.
No matter how many states away we are, nothing will change the fact that for the rest of my life I have the very best Valentine anyone could ask for. One that even when I am sick shows up with movies, cookies, and flowers, just so I didn't have to spend Valentines Day alone(Our first Valentines Day). And really when I think about it, this is not the worst Valentines Day at all. In fact, it is quite opposite, because this is the very first Valentines Day that we are beginning our life together. Even though we are apart, it is because God is preparing the path that we are going to be on together for the rest of our lives, and really, even though I miss him like crazy, that is the best possible Valentines Day gift anyone could ask for.
And at the end of the day, Valentines Day shouldn't about, going to dinner, buying nice things for each other, and being all smushy. It's not even about showing the one special person how much you care, because you should do that every day, it's not even about having one particular Valentine. To me Valentines Day is bout thanking God for every person that you care about, for reminding yourself that no matter what is going on, there are people around you that love you and will be always be there for you, yep, that is what Valentines day should be about.
Andrew Paul Cox, I love you more and more every single day, and I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with you! Here's to the very best Valentines gift of them all....a life with you :D

Mine and Andys Valentines Day
So I am watching Modern Family and I just saw this scene:
Gloria(me)-"I saw you were trying to trick me, and I tricked you, I win!"
Jay(Andy)- "What do you mean you win?"
Gloria- "I know you think I don't think you are romantic, but I also know you think I am not smarter than you, so now we know you are romantic, and I am smarter than you, and I bought you a motorcycle."
Jay- Thats Fantastic
Gloria- "I win again!"
Jay-"Honey, I love all this, but you cannot win Valentines Day, you defeat the whole idea if you make it into some silly competetion"
Gloria- "Shut up I win."
Seriously me and Andy haha

Who said this would be easy?
So I had no idea Andy being in Colorado would suck quite so much!
Yes as I have said so many times before, I am very excited to go, but this whole not seeing him for a month sucks! It has only been a week and I am already going crazy! We were skyping tonight and all I wanted was to give him a hug! But I can't because he is so far away! And I am a little jealous he is getting to spend all this time with Jill and Josh, they're my favorite, just don't tell his other siblings.
However, on the brighter side, I think that Jill and Josh and really enjoying him being out there with them. He cleaned their kitchen today, who wouldn't enjoy that! hah!

Colorado
I know I have been blogging a lot about moving lately and I promise next time I blog it will be about something else but I needed to talk about it again for a moment.
So I think my dad just finally realized that I am moving 3/4 of the way across the country. Because at first he was fine with it, and then, last night he comes up to me and was like "You know how far away Colorado is right", and while saying this hugged me and started to cry. It was so sad. My dad doesn't cry. Other than this the last time I remember seeing my dad cry was when Dale Earnhart died....just kidding, kinda, but anyways he doesn't ever cry and it was very sad and I am going to miss him, but I am so excited to go it outweighs the missing people part, most of the time.

Other than this the last time I remember seeing my dad cry was when Dale Earnhart died....just kidding, kinda, but anyways he doesn't ever cry and it was very sad and I am going to miss him, but I am so excited to go it outweighs the missing people part, most of the time.

My hope
1")Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.
2"In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.
3"If I go and prepare a place for you,I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.
4"And you know the way where I am going."
5Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You are going, how do we know the way?"
6Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.
John 14:1-7
When I am missing my friends this is the verse that I think of because no matter how much I miss them. If they believe that Jesus died for them like I do, then I will see them again in Heaven for eternity. How awesome!
God is pretty awesome

Moving
So tonight after work Jaci Justin and I just hung out for a little while and it made me miss them so much all ready! After Jaci left Justin and I just hung out and listened to music for like 10 min while he used my phone to call his mom and I realized that I am not going to even be able to listen to my iPod after I leave because like every song reminds me of him. Ah it's so sad.
But I am still excited to see what God has in store for us there. They prayed for us at church today and it just reminded me that God is the focus and that I have so many people in so many states praying for me and Andy and that is just such an awesome feeling.
Sent from my iPod
Church
So i really love church, especially worship at church. i feel like that is a very typical thing to say if your a Christian but I really mean it. I love everything about worship. But I think my favorite thing is those group of people in every church that can't sing in key, clap off tempo, and in general are just pretty awful at singing. Put me in the middle of that group and it would be my favorite worship ever! Not because I am a bad singer but because those people are just so awesome to worship with. Because the majority of them have to know they are awful, however, their focus is not to please everyone around them but God. I want to be like that when I worship God. I get all nervous and shy if I sing one word wrong, let alone the whole song. I want to be more like them.

I still hate titles
So my background just went from awesome to lame because blogger has really lame pre-made backgrounds but wanted to rearrange all my boxes and stuff so I had to use a default one until I can find a better one on the internet and make adjustments to it.
I hate that Andy is leaving on Monday, I feel like every person in my life is very tired of me saying that. I am so bummed out. This is most definitely the longest we have gone with out seeing eachother in 3 years! It is sorta making my head spin around. And I am going to continue to bug every one around me by moping for the next 6 weeks, because I am going to miss him soo much, especially Valentines day.
My bridal shower is tomorrow!!! Yay! I am so excited, I think it will be entertaining, to say the least, to have all sides of the family trapped in one room for 3-4 hours! But I am hoping it will go okay!
I am actually more worried about before the Bridal Shower because I have to tell my mom that Andy and I are moving to Colorado! I am soo not looking forward to this. In case you didn't know my mom is not exactly the most rational person. I think she is going to take it personally, like she'll think the reason we are moving because we don't want to be around her.
I am really tired. It was kinda a long day at work today, even though not much happened.
I feel like I started out this blog post with a purpose, but I have no idea what that is. Apparently it wasn't that important.

Colorado
It's official I am moving 1892.5 miles away from home. Not sure if I have ever been so scared and excited for something ever in my life!
I decided that I should take a few minutes and explain the whole story because God has just been so awesome through this whole adventure! So you remember that back in December Andy had surgery and was out of work for 6 weeks. Well after that 6 weeks was up my dad called us up and was like "guys we need to have you come over and chat" he then proceeded to tell us that he was not going to have enough work for Andy to come back and he wasn't sure when or if he was going to be able to hire him back and not to hesitate if anything else for work came up. So Andy started searching for jobs locally and he really couldn't find anythin. So we prayed and when we were praying we really opened our selves and our plan up to God( you know the way it should be) and God totally came through! Just about right after we started to pray Andys sister Jillian emailed him and said there were openings at compassion, we prayed more, talked to Andys parents, they prayed, i talked to work to see if i could transfer, i am, we sold Andys car with in a half an hour of it being put at the end of the driveway and he bought a plane ticket to fly out on Monday. I mean this all happened within like 2 weeks and everyone just had/ has a complete peace about it.
It is so awesome when we pay attention to what God is doing in our lives because it's not that He either is or isn't in our life it wether we are paying attention to Him or not.
Then came the real test....telling my brother and dad. And seriously without a doubt God was there too because both of them were very supportive and excited. Not that I didn't think they would be but I thought maybe they would be more worried or think I shouldn't but they both are really happy for us and I really hope his whole adventure just becomes a testimony to those around us of what can happen when you just let God be God.
I think sometimes I just need to remember that God already is God and He already has a plan.
Just pray I make it through the next 6 weeks with my fiancé 1892.5 miles away.

Why do titles have to exist?
So I feel a little weird blogging this because I am currently talking to you but what ever. So anyways, I told my parents about Colorado and it was one of those nights that I knew God was in complete control because it went sooooo excellently well. They were totally supportive and excited for us and it was absolutely great! However along with that I had to start telling people at work...which sucked. I almost cried when I had to tell Josh and Justin..which sucked. Josh and Justin and I are always together at work...like it is a very very weird day when they are not there, and me telling them I am moving to Colorado made me realize that every day is going to be one of those weird days until I become friends with the new people at the Home Depot there.
It was really hard to tell Josh, like different then it was telling Justin. I don't really know why but it just was. He wasn't exactly happy about it It's like I think he understands but doesn't like it, and he keeps calling me Colorado which is a little obnoxious and by a little I mean very. I am really worried about transferring. Like I love my store so much, as odd as it is they are like a second family to me. Seeing as I see them more than my first family lol. I am going to miss them soo much. And I am really worried that my new store is not going to be like that at all. What if they don't like me or something? lol Yes I know I sound like a 13 year old girl but I am just going to miss my store family a lot, especially Josh and Justin.
I feel like this blog is very rambley, but all I really wanted to talk about was how much I am going to miss them.
However i am still soo excited about moving. It is going to be a really great way for Andy and I to start our new life together! And I really can feel God in all of this and that is just so cool
So as much as I may miss my friends here I know that God has a plan and that there is a lot in store for me and Andy in Colorado!!!!!
See you in 7 or 8 weeks!!
Love you!

Sunshine
Also I thought I would put it out there that although in 3 degrees the sun is out and shinning, I worked out this morning, and the wedding invitations are done! It's going to be a great day!
56 days!
Lately I have realized how much I love Andy. I know that seems like a silly statement because I am getting married to him soon! And it's not that I didn't love him before because I have but it's different. It's how it was in the beginning again.
I think the past year has been tough on the both of us. It was like as soon as we got back from Liberty God did so many amazing things for us, one right after another, that you would have thought that this past year would have been the year we grew exponentially in our faith's but I feel like it was the opposite, now I can't speak for Andy, but that is how it was for me anyways. It was like as soon as I got back into a swing of life here, with work and school and all that stuff I sorta left God by the way side. It wasn't that I didn't go to church or that I still didn't know He was my Savior or anything but I wasn't truly living for Him I was living for me. I read my Bible but not like I should have, more just to check that box in the morning. I definitely did not wake up every morning amazed by God's grace, I just thought about work and school and all that I had to get done that day. And I think it definately had a strain on my relationship with Andy. Not in anyway that ever caused us to ever not want to be together but I just love him differently when I am not loving Jesus. I think I was a lot more critical and just plain stressed out. It was almost like our relationship had grown stagnant. Even though we were planning a wedding and moving towards a life together, our relationship really wasn't moving anywhere. But then recently I have come back to Jesus, not that I ever strayed very far away, but it was enough that I could feel the difference in myself. And let me tell you, the past few weeks has just been like falling for Andy all over again. It's like when I open myself back up to God's love, I can let myself love Andy completely for the godly, wonderful man he is. I can fully appreciate the fact the he is the man that God gave me to spend the rest of my life with, and honestly I am so thankful for that.
He is such blessing from God to me and I am so excited to spend the rest of my life with him and honestly I know that we are going to do great things for the Lord together and that just outweighs any stress.

Blogging
I felt like I should blog, but I am really not sure what I should blog about.
I have writers block, which I didn't know was possible for someone who doesn't even really write.
ioohenfdslksdvnsvmnsdfpo0qrlksdvmnsdmvnkjasdnfk;jsfdlkj----that is what my brain feels like right now.
I think for some reason this is all my brain can squeeze out right now...it's very mushy.

The Sargents.
That was probably the best weekend I have had in a really long time. I feel like I have been so caught up in life lately it was sooo nice to just have a weekend to kick back and relax and it helped that you and Elijah were there too. I simply can not wait for you guys(if Elijah is coming too) to come back in two months so we can have even more fun! Oh and tell your brother if he does come it is required that he does the worm at least one time! I think our t-shirts is my most favorite thing ever. It is simply amazing and everytime I wear it I think of you!
So I just stumbled upon an entire drawer of pajamas that I had completely forgotten about. Like had no idea I even owned them until I saw them in that drawer, and I thought it was interesting that our brains can just completely shut things out like that. "out of sight, out of mind" is probably one of the most true cliche's ever. And as I was thinking about that I realized how much I can do that with my walk with God. When things get stressful and crazy, or I think that I can do things my way because I know soo much(not). I can just completely shove God out, not read my bible, do everything, and hide Him in my pajama drawer. I can to continue doing things my own way. But unlike a drawer full of pajamas that can sit and rot, our God lives, breaths, and moves in our lives, He continually pursues us until we come back to him, and the most beautiful part is that no matter how long we shoved God into our forgotten pajama drawer He is there to open his arms and welcome us back. How beautiful and wonderful is that?!!? That we have a God that wants us to be his, that wants us to have a relationship with Him. He wants to work through us, us who are completely unworthy of anything, to spread His Light throughout the world!
God is just way to cool!
